How to Prepare for a San Juan Island Cruise

San Juan Island cruises give you the chance to see some beautiful landscapes and wildlife you won’t find anywhere else. These are magnificent adventures.  With just a bit of planning you will get the most out of them.

Research in Advance

Research is one of the most important aspects of your travel strategy. What type of cruise are you hoping to experience?  Will it last for a day or multiple days? What type of things are you going to see along the route? What provisions will your charter service provide? Knowing this lets you know what extra supplies you may want to bring along..

There will be a lot to see, and you’ll want to have the right equipment to capture the action. Also, the type of cruise you are considering will depend on who you are planning to take with you. The itinerary may be geared towards family experiences, or it may be something a little more romantic, perhaps with a significant other.

Pack Appropriately

To be ready for anything on your cruise, you need to pack appropriately. Take clothes you don’t mind getting wet because sometimes water can reach the deck. You also need shoes that retain grip so that you don’t slip on the deck surface.

It is a good idea to pack a pair of sunglasses and a hat because you don’t want the sun to ruin your views from the boat. If you are taking your phone, keep it in a secure pocket or compartment so that water doesn’t damage it.

You can enhance your experience on the cruise by knowing what essentials to take and researching the cruise charter in advance. Wonderful, long-lasting memories are obtainable with just a little personal planning.
