Schooners North now offers would-be voyagers a chance to observe the majestic wildlife along the San Juan Islands with full day whale watching charters from now through October. A friendly crew of experienced sailors will man the historic wooden schooner Spike Africa on an educational expedition. On each voyage, guests will be accompanied by a naturalist to answer any questions and to point out areas of interest throughout the whole day. For any children onboard, there is a special gathering to help them learn to identify different wildlife that can be spotted.
